Pterygium

Pterygium is a fleshy growth that occurs on the surface of the eye. Their incidence is related to sunlight exposure and hence, they are very common in Queensland. These growths may cause poor cosmesis, persistent ocular irritation and in some cases decreased vision due to changing the shape of your eye surface. He has also published an article, which shows that approximately 10% of pterygia excised may have some pre-cancerous changes within them.

Dr Warrier uses the latest techniques published in medical journals to remove the pterygium surgically. His technique is designed to provide a very low recurrence rate and excellent cosmesis.
